Drive to Kyaiktiyo (6 hrs)
The golden rock of Kyaiktiyo, perched on the edge of Mt.Kyaikto, is an enigmatic, intriguing and gravity-defying attraction. According to legend, this giant, gold-leafed boulder has one hair from the Buddha precisely placed in the 7m tall pagoda - balancing it Truly a place of miracles, with a mystical and magical aura.
On your back way to Yangon, visit the ancient royal city of Bago (Pegu), with the highest Burmese pagoda, the old palace and a giant Buddha statue.

Internal Flight to Kyaing Tong (1.5 hrs)
Located on the border of Thailand, Kyaing Tong is known as the 'Walled City of Tung' and is inhabited by colorful ethnic tribes such as Wa, Shan, Akha and Lahu. It is also full of temples, colonial buildings and lakes, making it the most scenic town in Shan State.
Enjoy day excursions through the wonderful landscapes; visit Lone Tree Hill and Nong Tong lake; witness ancient tribes clad in their colorful traditional attire.

Internal Flight to Mandalay (1.5 hrs)
This historical old capital of Myanmar, Mandalay, abounds in historical sites, cultural memorials, Buddhist edifices, spiritual heritage and traditional arts and crafts. Scriptures can be seen on many marble slabs on pagodas and on some monasteries. It comes across as a great oriental bazaar.
Must visit attractions include the Mandalay Palace, the largest book in the world resting in the Kuthodaw Pagoda, the Shwenandaw Monastery and the Mahamuni-Buddha. Enjoy a boat ride on the mighty Ayeyarwady River to the ruins of the Mingun Pagoda. Travel in a horse-drawn carriage through the remnants of the royal city of Ava. Walk across the U-leg bridge of Amarapura or go on an excursion to the magnificent Kaunghmudaw Pagoda. Visit various workshops and the studios of renowned silversmiths or take an excursion to the enchanting Maha Aung Mye Bonzan monastery.

Drive to Monywa (3 hrs)
Monywa is a delightful town on the eastern bank of the Chindwin River and the gateway to the grand Thahboddhay Pagodas complex, with its hundreds of stupas, thousands of statues and millions of sacred images in addition to the impressive sandstone caves of Hpo Win Daung.
Visit the famous Thanboddhay Paya pagoda with nearly 600,000 Buddha figures and the Hpo Win Daung caves with over 4,00,000 Buddha statues. A view of the grove of one thousand Bodhi trees is truly unforgettable.

Drive to Pakkoku (1.5 hrs) Cruise to Bagan (4 hrs)
A UNESCO World Heritage site, Bagan's importance lies in its legacy with over 2,000 ancient shrines, temples and stupas. The magnificent architecture, fine mural paintings, brilliant stucco carvings and elegant Buddha images, evoke a sublime, dream world.

Drive to Pindaya (1 hr)
Home to picturesque mountain views of the Blue Mountain Range, the Pindaya caves are nestled within a natural limestone ridge overlooking lake Poktaloke Kan. The caves are home to over 8,000 Buddha images of various sizes made from lacquer, teak, marble, alabaster and cement.
Take short treks to surrounding Danu, Pa-O, Palaung and Taung-Yo villages; visit the 300 yr old Pindaya caves with over 8,000 Buddha images; explore the local markets on market days; observe lay people meditating within the caves.

Drive to Kalaw (2.5 hrs)
Kalaw sits high on the western edge of the Shan Plateau and was a popular British colonial hill station, evident in the peaceful and scenic atmosphere. An excellent destination for hiking amid gnarled pines, supersized bamboo groves and rugged mountain scenery.
Go for light treks, nature walks and leisurely strolls in the wonderful mountainous landscapes.
